Improvements

RED writing = improvements
At the moment, your blog is reaching a high LEVEL 1. This is because lots of your work is missing (including all of the preliminary task work). Your blog is a concern and needs lots done to it, to ensure it is completed to the highest standard. Your blog image must reflect film!! Well done for putting your assessment under its own label.

In order to improve to a Level 3, which is vital - you must ensure that: all work is on your blog; that you improve your work based on peer and self assessment, reflecting on it; that you consider analysing at a deeper level, showing clear understanding of film openings and their conventions.

• I've put all of the first preliminary work on the blog I just need to put the storyboard on for the Juno task.

Male Gaze
WWW: You have clearly researched into this theory in your own time, this is shown by your write up above and the way in which you have explained it.
EBI: You had explained how and why male and female characters are shown so differently, linking this to the Male Gaze theory.

The reason that females and males are represented so differently in films is because traditionally all of the directors were male which means that they'll direct what they'll like to see in a film. This means that they'll have sexualised girls in the movie but as there are not many female directors the males aren't sexualised as much.  


Superman

EBI: You chose a poster that was used for advertising purposes, so you could pick out more features of a poster to analyse

Seeing as the poster has no titles means that the producers assume that the audience know what the film it is and what genre it will be this is because the superman films before has established themselves as they have been around making films for a long time.  


Reception Theory

EBI: You had explained the different factors which could be attributed to the way a member of the audience decodes a text. Use an example that you know of- have you ever watched a film with an older/younger member of your family and taken a different meaning from it? Why do you think this is

One example is when I watch a horror films hints that something could happen for instance a murder or a kidnapping I could understand but a small child for instance my cousin didn't understand the hints that the horror movie suggests because. They haven't experienced other horror movies and are not experienced enough in film to understand it.

EBI: You need to be careful to link carefully to genre and consider how these could be improved
Second picture this shows the adventure genre because they're in a field and saying as they're peering round a tree it could mean they're on a adventure. 
The third picture shows the adventure genre because he is seen to have accomplished he's adventure. 
The fourth picture shows adventure and relate to that genre because he's going into a room which leads to his next adventure 


Low and high budget films

EBI: If you considered in more detail the popularity of these companies and considered how these affected film promotion.
Warner brothers is a massive film company in movies this means that when they made dark shadows then they could spend millions on the scenery, effects, production and actors. Whereas Film district is a small film company which means that in insidious they used cheap scenery and not as good effects and the production and actors will not be as good  

Orange clockwork

EBI: If you were specific as to the effects and how this makes the genre more obvious for the audience.
The effects for instance the dark filter over the camera makes the opening look more gloomy and therefore the opening itself looks more scarier.
